Transitions between different adiabatic states result from the action of non-adiabatic factors, all of them, with exceptions of nonadiabaticity of the electromagnetic field, have an perturbative meaning. In this work, a perturbative interpretation of the violation of the adiabatic condition of slowness for the electromagnetic field is proposed. We consider that it gives more causal understanding of the relevant physical processes.
