CKUSAT-1 is the first micro-satellite under feasibility study by National Cheng Kung University. It is a low-earth orbit micro-satellite designed to carry out scientific research missions. This work is concerned with the development of a TT&C station for CKUSAT-1, in particular the telemetry data structure design concerning communication between the TT&C station and CKUSAT-1. To ensure accuracy of downlink and uplink data for telemetry, command and control leads one to design and validate carefully the telemetry data structure from the viewpoints of data completeness, reliability and error rate. The present data structure design is featured with a data compression scheme and an error bit detection procedure.
