Summary form only given. When simulating hybriddiscrete-continuous dynamical systems a key problem is the discontinuousmodel behavior. The state derivatives may change in a discontinuous waydepending on the discrete state of the model. Conventional simulationalgorithms are not suitable to integrate such hybrid system models withhigh accuracy and reasonable computational effort.
