Summary form only given. When simulating hybriddiscrete-continuous dynamical systems a key problem is the discontinuousmodel behavior. The state derivatives may change in a discontinuous waydepending on the discrete state of the model. Conventional simulationalgorithms are not suitable to integrate such hybrid system models withhigh accuracy and reasonable computational effort. In this paper wepresent results obtained with the simulation tool HYSIM we aredeveloping. HYSIM can efficiently and accurately simulate hybrid systemsincluding state and time events and sliding modes
