摘要

Tungstate melts found a wide application in melt electrochemistry for the manufacture of both tungsten and its metal-like refractory compounds. By controlling the acid-base properties of a melt we control the form of electroactive species and hence the potential of tungsten reduction from tungstate melt. The method of thermodynamic estimation proposed by us makes it possible to select the composition of the electrolyte for the making of metals or metal-like refractory compounds.
