A new method for analyzing impedance dat apresented in the complex pane plot is introduced. The advantage of our approach is that it can be easily employed with commonly available spreadsheet caluclation software like Microsoft Excel~(TM). It is possible to define a semicircle by three points o f the circumference. Knowing the trigonometric function, the radius, e.g. representing the bulk resistace of ion selective membranes, can easily be calculated. The error of the data fit is determined by consideringb the standard deviation of the data points refered to the fitted semi circle. The geometric capacitance of ion selective mebranes can be caluclated by plotting the real part of the imedance against the angular frequency. If the eequivalent circuit of the system is given it is possible to obtaine the geometric capacitance by ebloying the non linear least square nethod. The efficency of our method has been verified by ana;lyzing different networks.
