In the reliability estimation of large scale systems it is important to know the influence of the type of the particular components reliability functions on the reliability of the systems. There are known three types of limit reliability functions for series and three types for parallel systems. We can formulate conditions which the reliability functions of particular components should satisfy so that the limit reliability function of the system is one of the possible types. This way all possible reliability functions of particular components will be divided into the groups, called domains of attraction. The problem of domains of attraction of limit reliability functions for homogeneous series and parallel systems is solved in Gniedenko (1943). Using the results given in Kolowrocki (1994) and Kurowicka (1998) we extend these results to domains of attraction of possible limit reliability function for nonhomogeneous series and parallel systems.
