Tensile creep repture tests using smooth specimens and circumferential V-notched specimens having 4 kinds of notch root radius and torsional creep rupture tests using tubular specimens of a brittle austenitic heat resisting steel,JIS SUH38,were conducted at 700 deg C.With this steel two types of specimens.one with weaker rectilinear grain boundary (WQ specimens) and the other with stronger zigzag boundary (FA specimens) were used.These grain boundaries wer eobtained by simple heat treatments respectively.
