Multi-level Information Controller

摘要

In this paper, we propose a multi-level information controller to control information in internal representations, depending on problems. As an example of multi-level information processing controlled by the information controller, we consider a situation where information is maximized at a level, while at another level information is minimized. A multi-level information controller is applied to the network size reduction. Experimental results confirmed that excessive information hidden units or redundant hidden units, frequently generated by the simple information maximization, are suppressed by the multi-level information contrller. The multi-level information controller is the first step toward the description of complex information processing observed in living systems.
