摘要

This paper proposes a model for Differentiated-Resilience Optical Services. Optical services are categorized according to their resilience requirement. For each class of resilience, a resilience strategy is provided. A new link attribute (Link Status) and a new link type (Virtual Optical Link) are put forward to extend the Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) protocol. Results confirm that these extensions make resilient service deployment and resource sharing much simpler and more efficient. The design of the model is within the framework of Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching (GMPLS) and makes the traffic restoration and failure recovery procedure much easier to implement.
