Intracavity laser absorption spectroscopy (LCLAS) and cavity ring-down spectroscopy (CRDS) were used to mearue temerpature and concentration profiles in low-pressure (30 torr) methane/oxygenitrogen flames.Concentration profiles of the HCO and CH_2 radicals were measrued by ICLAS,whereas the OH radical profiles and temerpature profiles were mearued by CRDS.Flames with equivalence ratio #phi#= 0.8,1.0,and 1.2 were stuied.HCO profiles and peak amounts agree well with model predications based on the GRI-mech 2.11 mechanism for the stoichiometric flame (#phi#=1.0).
