Application of size-exclusion chromatography to enzymatic bleaching of wood pulp

Size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) of wood pulp constituents (celulose, hemicellulose and lignin) has become widely used for analysis of these polymers, including transformations occurring under enzymatic processing. Possibilities of the SEC method in the analyses of underivatized wood pulp during enzyme aided bleaching processes with xylanase are presented in this paper.
