Discusses a campaign experiment for TRMM PR validation (IMCET) conducted on the Pacific Ocean around Ishigaki island and Miyako island in the south-west part of Japan from May to July in 1998. In this paper, the plan of IMCET is introduced, and a new dual-beam antenna for the CRL Airborne Multiparameter Precipitation Radar (CAMPR-D) is described.
