Abstract: The model supported positioning project was initiatedto develop an automatic process for the control ofimagery. Imagery is controlled using a rigorousphotogrammetric process to adjust the image supportdata. Because the process of locating the control inthe image and adjusting the image support data is fullyautomatic, processes must be put in place to insureadequate distribution of control in the image as wellas a capability to check the accuracy resultantcontrolled imagery. Additionally, since the control islocated in the image using an automatic vector to imagematching technique, a process must be put in place toassess the accuracy of the measured point in the image.This paper addresses the approaches taken toincorporate these processes within the model supportedpositioning prototype. !1
