摘要

When high Tc superconductors are used in the electrical power apparatuses at commercial frequency, they are often exposed to the spatially varied external magnetic field. It induces an additional circulating current in the superconductors, and increases the AC loss. Since this current has basically two components in the different directions, anisotropy of the superconducting property influences the current profile and the AC loss. A numerical code for the electromagnetic analysis of high Tc superconductors by finite element method has been developed. The anisotropic E-J characteristics of superconductor are taken into account. Magnetization of a small piece of a high Tc superconducting tape is measured to compare with the numerical results.
