Restoration of linear disturbances associated with pipelines creates a number of challenges to contractors. The contractor's ability to handle crew and equipment scheduling, propose changes to the ever present problem of poorly adapted specification, and deal with access problems largely determines the successful restoration of lineal disturbances. Together, the contractor and pipeline company must be able to effectively communicate and explore the use of proper technology. Often times, the original specifications submitted with the permit application are not feasible and on several occasions Western States Reclamation, Inc. (WSRI), has suggested and implemented more practical alternate solutions.
