Distribution of superconducting currents in a multilayered NbTi/Nb/Cu seamless cylinder was studied experimentally and by numerical simulation. In order to calculate the distribution of superconducting currents from the measured magnetic field, the inverse problem was solved. This analysis was made on two cases: one in which the cylinder was magnetized and the second in which it shielded the external magnetic field. To verify the calculated results, the cylinder was modeled to have infinite conductivity and critical current and was numerically simulated when it shielded the external magnetic field. The experimental and simulated results were in good agreement.
