The fully-mechanized longwall with coal caving under the condition of the hard coal and hard roof

This paper describes the technique, equipment and productin condition for the fully - mechanized longwall technique with caving coal under the condition of hard coal seams and hard roof in Datong, and discusses and proposes the top coal failure pattern of the hard coal seam and some problems on the technique with caving coal in the hard coal seam and tight roof. The suitability of the powered support is analyzed from the viewpoint of top coal fragment, top coal running and the roof control. Some directions and throughts are proposed in order to solve the problems, and the future of the technique with caving coal in the hard coal seam is prospected.
