摘要

Through a long - term field observation and research on the operation reliability of two - leg shields, we put forward some new optinion on the elevation angle of rear shield, the location of leg hinge along a canopy, the minimum mining height of supports, the function of a compensation ram, the selection of working resistance as well as the optimum computing method of important structure parameters, find out the basic measure that a mechanical limitation is set up to solve the problem on the operation reliability of two - leg shields. The opinion in this paper is proved to be correct by rounds of site test.
