The iron ore used is a high titaniferous vanadium-bearing magnetite. Therefore, continual optimization of smelting this peculiar ore in blast furnace is a fundamental basis for steel product development. Over the past 20 years, painstaking efforts have been made to develop ore matching, sintering and BF smelting technologieswith consideration given to the preculiarities of the ore. By the end, special solutions have bene found to smelt this high titnaotype vanadium-bearing magnetite with large blast furnaces, laying a profound foundation for the establishment of PISC.
