Dynamic Direct Shear Test Research on Rock Joints

摘要

Dynamic behavior of rock is constantly an interesting study domain due to its importance in understanding the rock mass strength properties and deformation performance and in solving some rock engineering problems in dynamic environment. In this paper, the stress rate effect of intact rock, the shear strength and deformation properties of clean rock joints and filled rock joints are studied experimentally. The testing results have shown that the dynamic loading velocity, wave types and frequency have a significant effect on the rock joint performance. The constitutive relationships are synthesized for clean jonts and filled joints.
