Abstract: Recent advances in millimeter-wave monolithic integrated circuit technology have resulted in a significant reduction in the size and cost of active microwave circuits over the past several years. More accurate deice and circuit models, efficient user-friendly design tools, improved manufacturing processes, cost-effective packaging and high-volume testing have all contributed to this success. The Ferrite Development Consortium, sponsored by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has effectively applied may of these same techniques to reduce the size and cost of planar circulators. This paper will review recent activities being conducted in this program related to millimeter-wave microstrip circulators. !21
