Abstract: In this paper we consider preformatting at the transmitter side to minimize the intersymbol interference introduced by the delay spread caused by Rician fading channels on differentially detected MSK signals. We propose a new phase compensation scheme that alters the phase of the transmitted signal in such a way that the phase shift of the diffuse component is such that it causes only a minimum increase in the intersymbol interference of the detected signals. !4
