Abstract: In this paper we present the brief review of our investigation for the last twenty years in the field of photochemistry of laser dyes for visible spectral regions. The coumarin, rhodamine, and oxazine laser dye photoreactions which result in their photofading due to chromophore destruction and colored products formation, particularly absorbing on laser wavelength and interfering with stimulated emission, have been investigated. !9
