Advanced space bioprocessing technology for earthbased applications

摘要

Biological waste water processign methods have been used for over a century to treat various domestic and industrial waste effluents. Advanced biological methods are currently udner development for spacecraft and planetary missions, yielding significant innovations in bioprocessing technology. These innovations can improve existing applications as well as make bioprocessing feasible for several new terrestrial applications.
