摘要

The objective of this study was to validate a non-invasive measure of bone biomechanical strength in an animal model and in human subjects with fragile bones. An instrument designed to measure the strength of long-bones directly in a non-invasive manner has been tested in the ulnes of patients with Osteogenesis Imperfects (OI). Osteogenesis Imperfects is a genetic disorder of Type I collagen and is similar in many respects to osteoporosis.
