PR4G, a complete system for ECCM (electronic countercountermeasures) VHF tactical radio communications, is described. It hasbeen developed to meet the requirements of the French army. Itscharacteristics, including enhancements and integration into the FrenchC3I (command, control, communications, and intelligence) systems, arepresented. The program and program management methodology are described.Program management uses such techniques as functional and valueanalysis, total quality, integrated logistics support, and design tocost. A preplanned enhancement program is under way, including newservices like time-division multiple access, packet access service, andlow data rate vocoders
