Results of exact investigations about the characteristics of theextremely fast and accurately measuring Kiel multisonde andrepresentations about its newest performance

Improved current-temperature-density (C-T-D) sondes for oceanographic measurements are described. The sensorsall have a very short time constant. For T, the time constantis 0.5 ms, the accuracy is 0.3 mK, and the resolution is 0.12 mK, andthe measurements can all be repeated in 2-ms periods. The spatialresolution for C is 0.5 cm, the precision 0.001, and theresolution 0.0005. At present, the pressure sensor can reach a precisionof about ±1.5 m between 0-600 bar with a resolution of ±30cm
