Imaging technology and management systems for industrial and business solutions

摘要

The explosive growth resulting from maturing emerging technologies in imaging, digital image compression/decompression, scanning and optical storage technologies, and enhanced networked computing have spawned affordable integrated imaging solutions in both business and industry. The authors provide a comprehensive overview of the technologies and applications driving such integrated solutions, which benefit industry and business in terms of workplace productivity, information movement and management, and paper storage reduction. The platform architecture, the client workstation technologies, and server technologies are considered.
