Wireless communication that provides voice only is not sufficientto support users' needs. Therefore, it's important for next generationwireless communication to offer this capability through mobile Internet.Mobile IP allows mobile hosts to change their location and reduce datapacket loss probability in wireless communication networks. However,mobile IP still has handoff and routing problems. Thus, the cellular IPprotocol is proposed for routing IP diagrams to mobile stations and fasthandoff control in a limited geographical area. It can cooperate withmobile IP to provide wide area mobility support. We offer a soft-handoffmethod to improve quality of service and resource switching managementto reduce data packet loss for mobile multimedia communication incellular IP and mobile IP networks
