Vibration Monitoring of Operational Wind Turbine

摘要

The modal analysis of a wind turbine has been generally handled with theassumption that this structure can be accurately modeled as linear time-invariant. Suchassumption may be misleading for stability analysis, especially, with the currentdevelopment of very large wind turbines with complex dynamic behavior(nonlinearity, aeroelastic coupling). Therefore in this paper, the inherent periodicallytime-varying dynamics of wind turbines (and for rotating systems, in general) is takeninto account. Based on the Floquet approach, this paper suggests an on-line vibrationmonitoring algorithm able to detect any trend of a given wind turbine toward anunstable behavior, before any dysfunction or destruction occurs. This turns out to thedetection of any change on some residuals using a bank of cumulative sum tests.
