Design of a Novel Leak Detection System for Water Network

In order to solve the shortcomings of traditional water supply terminal leakage monitoring technology, a novel monitoring system is designed based on ZigBee wireless sensor network. Overall system is divided into front-end monitoring node, relay nodes and the monitoring centre's domain node. The nodes are interconnected based on the Chipcon CC2430 ZigBee chip. The parameter data display is based on MZL04- 12864 LCD display module. In the monitoring node, threeterminal linear Hall element leak detection UGN3501T is used for leak detection. Experimental results show that the system has only 2.95 per second average response time, average leakage detection rate of 98%. The design is scientific, and it also has quick response speed and strong robust.
