A Parameter Design Method of CLLC resonant converter is introduced. Firstly, this paper analyzes the impact of the ratio (magnetizing inductance to resonant inductance, h) on the circuit characteristics, including the gain of CLLC resonant converter, the conditions at switching instants, the realization of soft switching and power losses. According to the analysis, a design method based on parameter optimization is demonstrated to achieve wide output voltage range with narrow frequency range. The proposed method is validated via experimental test on a 2-kW prototype, the efficiency is up to 98.3% within a certain frequency range.
