Example of Using Algorithms for Switching Hybrid FSO/RF Systems

This article discusses the problem of optical communication with Free Space Optics (FSO), its use, and the conditions that affect this link. The article deals with the design and construction of a monitoring system. This system is designed to collect and process data characterizing the nature of the conditions along the transmission path. Because of the vulnerability of the FSO transmission channel to weather conditions, it is necessary to predict the strength of the received signal and switch to the back-up line by machine learning based on decision trees.
