In this paper, we investigate the firing properties and bifurcation characteristics of the extended Hindmarsh-Rose (HR) neuron model under transcranial magneto-acoustical stimulation (TMAS). In order to reveal the mechanism of firing rhythms of extended HR neuron model with TMAS, the membrane potential curves and phase portraits with acoustic and magnetic parameters are exhibited and discussed. The bifurcation diagram with TMAS variables parameters is utilized to explore the bifurcation characteristics of the extended HR neuron model. The results show that the intensity of magnetic field and ultrasound will affect the membrane potential frequency and cause different firing mode. These conclusions provide the theoretical basis for TMAS.
