Preface

摘要

These proceedings contain the papers presented at MMM 2020, the 26th International Conference on MultiMedia Modeling, held in Daejeon, South Korea, during January 5-8, 2020. MMM is a leading international conference for researchers and industry practitioners to share new ideas, original research results, and practical development experiences from all MMM-related areas, broadly falling into three categories: multimedia content analysis; multimedia signal processing and communications; and multimedia applications and services. MMM 2020 received 241 paper submissions across 4 categories: 171 full research paper submissions, 49 special session paper submissions, 11 demonstration submissions, and 10 submissions to the Video Browser Showdown (VBS 2020). Of the 171 full papers submitted, 40 were selected for oral presentation and 46 for poster presentation. Of the 49 special session papers submitted, 28 were selected for oral presentation and 8 for poster presentation. In addition, 9 demonstrations and 10 VBS submissions were accepted. The overall acceptance percentage across the conference was thus 58.51%, but 50.29% for full papers and 23.39% of full papers for oral presentation. The submission and review process was coordinated using the EasyChair conference management system. All full-paper submissions were assigned for review to at least three members of the Program Committee. We owe a debt of gratitude to all these reviewers for providing their valuable time to MMM 2020.
