摘要

The increasing penetration of distributed energy resources in the European electricity network is changing the way the grid is being operated. Transmissions System Operators (TSOs) must cope until real-time with the growing intermittency and the higher volatility of dispatch settings. This situation causes more frequent congestions that can jeopardize the security of the grid if not managed effectively by means of remedial actions. Redispatching and countertrading are the main costly remedial actions used by TSOs to mitigate those congestions. An efficient framework for the coordination and selection of these two categories of measures is an important component for a secure and efficient European electricity system. This paper provides a comparative assessment of the efficiency of using redispatching versus countertrading measures, based on a test case representing the central European power system.
