In order to determine the fault location quickly and accurately, it is necessary to study the fault location technology of DC distribution network. In this paper, based on reading a lot of relevant literature, a new fault location method is proposed by theoretical analysis of fault process. In this method, the relationship between fault distance and capacitor voltage is described quantitatively. Then the simulation model of double terminal flexible DC distribution network is built in PSCAD/EMTDC simulation software. The simulation results show that the distance measurement method proposed in this paper has high accuracy.
