Analysis of Multiple Droop Control Strategies in DC Microgrid

The research regarding DC microgrid is gaining more and more attractions these days. Renewable energy sources, for example, solar PV modules could be plugged in DC microgrid with an interfacing converter, which can track the maximum power point of the PV panel to enhance efficiency. When several sources are connected to DC microgrid in parallel to supply the load, since the solar irradiance is fluctuating and the same in load, droop control is needed for load sharing according to the parameters to maintain bus voltages stable. In this paper, the traditional droop control scheme, adaptive droop control scheme and dynamic droop control scheme are implemented in the simulated DC microgrid system and the bus voltage under each scheme is analyzed to show different features.
