A compact low-pass filter with wide stopband performance is presented using integrated passive device technology on GaAs substrate in this paper. A low-pass filter structure with LC parallel resonant and stub loaded capacitor, which can provide good upper stopband performance. The return loss is greater than 14.5 dB, while insertion loss is less than 2.37 dB from DC to 10 GHz. The stop band corresponding to 30 dB rejection is from 13 GHz to 45 GHz. The out band rejection is better than 64 dB at 18 GHz and 35.8 GHz. The whole size of the proposed low-pass filter chip, is only 1.81×0.65 mm2, i.e. 0.227×0.08 λg2, including the measured ground-signal-ground (GSG) pad.
