Propose research work is examined a typical architecture of a Wind Turbine Generation Arrangement (WTGA) equipped with a generator operating at fixed speed. Presently SCIGs, DFIGs are being commonly utilized on WTGA, but synchronous generators (Alternator) are also broadly used. Different synchronous generators (SGs) configurations are suitable. Nevertheless, the multiple-pole Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSGs) is preferred ,Since it does not require rotor current for excitation due to permanent magnets in rotor assembly and also used without gearbox arrangement therefore it provides excellent performance owing to higher efficacy and less repairs, which also imply a decreasing of nacelle weight and declining of cost. What is more, the entire WTGA has been incorporated and simulated in MATLAB/Simulink interface (2017a). The WTGA has PMSG operated with fixed speed (12m/s) wind turbine. Maximum wind energy extraction is obtained using single switch mode rectifier (SSMR) scheme. Proposed system elements have been modeled with equations that clarify elements performance. In addition, the idea of optimal Power Point Tracking (MPPT) has been verified and presented in Simulink environment with the generator speed (rotor) according to instantaneous wind speed.
