Research on the Development of Rail Corrugation in Small Radius Curve of Metro

A large number of rail corrugations on the small radius curve lines of metro accelerates the damage of vehicles and track components. Therefore, it is of great significance to study the development characteristics of rail corrugations of Metro to improve the safety and comfort of metro operation. To solve this problem, the time-frequency analysis of rail corrugation measurements in a common fastener track section of Guangzhou Metro Line 3 is made firstly in this paper, and the development trend of rail corrugation with the cumulative traffic volume is obtained. Then the simulation model of small radius curve rail corrugation is built based on the line parameters, and the theoretical model of rail corrugation based on friction work is used to calculate the rail corrugation. Finally, based on the simulation calculation data, and the time-frequency analysis of corrugation under different running speed is carried out to study its development characteristics. The results show that different running speed does not affect the main vibration frequency of rail corrugation in the curve, but affect the development speed of corrugation.
