Tie line power control is the key technology to ensure the safe operation of the interconnected power system. In order to improve the transmission capacity and system stability of the grid, based on DC sensitivity and linear programming method, a new method of tie line power adjustment in the interconnected power system is proposed. The sensitivity matrix is derived from the correlation formula of DC power flow, so as to obtain the sensitivity coefficient of generator to each branch, further determine the sensitivity of tie line, and use the method of linear programming to determine the optimal adjustment strategy, which takes the minimum change of active power output of generator as the objective function. Finally, the IEEE39-bus system is used to adjust the active power of different tie lines, and the variation trend of active power error of tie line and output of the slack bus generator with power adjustment of tie line is explored. The validity and practicability of this method are verified.
