A simulation model including the cumulative damage caused by structural residual deformation before vertical and longitudinal loading during the ROPS test of the mining truck is established based on the material elastic-plastic mechanics theory and nonlinear finite element analysis method. The finite element model is calculated and analyzed according to the loading requirements of GB/T 17922-2004, and the lateral load displacement curve, the lateral energy absorption displacement curve, the vertical load displacement curve and the longitudinal load displacement curve of the mining truck are obtained. The simulation results are verified by tests, which show that the simulation curves are consistent with the test curves under each working condition. The simulation method is feasible and practical.
