This paper briefly presents outer rotor wound field flux switching machine having seven different numbers of rotor poles and design FEFSM as minimum cost for hybrid electric vehicle (HEV's) drives. Flux sources (Field Excitation Coil and Armature Winding or Permanent Magnet) are confined to stator, leaving rotor completely passive which is suitable for high speed application. The main section elaborates an important overview of load and no load analyses for in wheel electric vehicles applications. Feasibility design studies on outer rotor FEFSM based on 2D-FEA will be analyzed using three-phase behavior of proposed machine. Various profiles studies like cogging torque, average torque vs. current density, and instantaneous torque is also discussed.
