The establishment of a 4T1 breast cancer model for TRAIL immunotherapy studies

TRAIL is an effective therapeutic for targeting CTCs. It not only has a significant apoptotic effect on 4T1 breast cancer cells in vitro, but an enhanced effect in the presence of fluid shear stress as found in blood flow. Our results also indicated a significant T-cell response generated from TRAIL. From our data, we successfully established a 4T1 breast cancer model to be used for future immunotherapy studies. The observed T-cell activation results indicate the implications of TRAIL for evoking an immune response to target 4T1 breast cancer cells.
