Overall, these studies demonstrate the effective decellularization of plant cell lines with a positive impact on hFF viability and a novel 3D environment for cell culturing. These decellularized matrices, coupled with genetic engineering approaches to incorporate function proteins, have promising applications in cell expansion, tissue engineering, and drug delivery.
