摘要

Nitric oxide donor (SNAP) incorporated chitosan-PVA hydrogels showed a sustained and prolonged release of NO from the hydrogels. Results from the In vivo studies showed enhanced angiogenesis by up-regulation of different growth factors receptors and matrix synthesis. In future work, molecular studies will be helpful to determine the up-regulation of certain growth promoting genes due to the release of nitric oxide from these biomaterials scaffolds.
