Electro-optically tunable laser with < 10-mW tuning power dissipation and high-speeed λ-switching for coherent network

摘要

We developed a novel tunable laser based on the electro-optic effect. The laser exhibited an extremely low tuning-power dissipation of <10 mW for the full C-band and very high-speed tuning of ∼500 ps with a laser linewidth available for conventional coherent systems of <350 kHz.
