Growing demand for data transmission capacity is driving a rapid evolution of optical component architectures and requires photonic technology that combines high levels of photonic integration and functionality with low cost and rapid product ramp capabilities. In this talk, we will present an overview of Intel Silicon Photonics technologies and components developed to address 400 Gb/s pluggable transceiver applications and to scale to the next generation Tb/s optics and integrated optical IOs.
