摘要

This paper proposes a new fault detection method for a grid-connected three-level active neutral point clamped (ANPC) inverter. The method is able to identify the open-circuit fault and its location by calculating the current average in specified regions and considering the grid power factor. The implementation of the method does not require the additional hardware and the complex calculation.
